URL mapping is a spreadsheet that lists every old address next to the new address it should lead to. It is the plan behind every redirect in a redesign or migration.
Build it from your crawl, sitemaps, top pages, server logs and Search Console. Choose each destination by relevance and mark pages with no equivalent for a 404 or 410.
