Migration
Leave WordPress without losing your rankings.
The fear is real: change the site, lose the traffic. A careful migration keeps what earns traffic, redirects what has to move, and checks everything before and after launch.
- Full URL audit
- One-to-one redirect map
- Search Console monitoring
- You own the new site
WHAT CAN GO WRONG
Four ways migrations lose traffic.
- 01
Missing redirects
Old URLs that return an error lose the rankings and links pointing at them.
- 02
Lost content
Pages that earned traffic are dropped or rewritten without anyone checking.
- 03
Broken structure
Titles, headings, canonical tags and internal links change by accident.
- 04
Unchecked launch
Nobody watches Search Console for errors in the weeks after.
THE PLAN
How we protect what you have built.
- 1
Crawl and record
We list every URL, its traffic, rankings, links and metadata before touching anything.
- 2
Decide page by page
Keep, improve, merge or retire, for a reason you can read.
- 3
Build the redirect map
Every URL that changes points one to one to its new home.
- 4
Rebuild and compare
The new site is tested against the old inventory, so nothing important is missing.
- 5
Launch and monitor
We watch Search Console and fix errors as they appear.
THE REDIRECT MAP
One old URL. One new home. Written down.
This is the single most important document in a migration. Every row is a promise to a search engine.

- Permanent redirects (301), one to one
- No chains: each old URL goes straight to its final home
- Tested before launch and checked again after
WHAT WE CHECK
Before launch and after.
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Every old URL resolves or redirects | Prevents lost rankings and broken links. |
| Titles, descriptions and headings carried over | Keeps the signals that earn clicks. |
| Canonical tags and sitemap correct | Tells search engines which page is which. |
| Internal links updated | Keeps authority flowing and avoids redirect chains. |
| Forms and tracking tested | Leads arrive and analytics counts them. |
| Search Console watched for weeks | Errors are fixed while they are small. |

Questions about migrate from wordpress.
Will I lose my rankings if I change my website?
A badly planned move can, which is why we plan it carefully. We keep content that earns traffic, redirect every URL that changes with a permanent redirect, and monitor Search Console after launch. No one can guarantee rankings, but a careful migration keeps the risk low.
Can you migrate from Wix or Squarespace too?
Yes. The principle is the same: record every URL and its performance, rebuild with care, redirect what changes and monitor after launch. Some platforms limit redirects or exports, and we plan around that.
How long does a migration take?
It depends on the size of the site and the content. We give a timeline after the research instead of guessing.
Do I have to move all my content?
No. Part of the audit is deciding what to keep, improve, merge or retire. Thin or outdated pages often work better merged into stronger ones.
Can I keep editing in WordPress?
Yes, if you choose headless WordPress. Otherwise we move your content to a CMS built for your team. We explain both options and recommend one.
