LegalTerms of service

Terms of service

The general terms for work Webtec does for a client: scope, fees, results, ownership, liability and ending the agreement.

Last updated October 26, 2026

The short version

  • These terms apply to paid work Webtec does for your business. Your proposal sets the scope, price and timing, and wins if it differs from these terms.
  • We do the work to a professional standard and report on it. We do not guarantee rankings, traffic, leads or revenue, because search engines and buyers are outside our control.
  • You own the deliverables once you have paid for them. We keep our tools and know-how.
  • Either side can end a monthly service by written notice as set out in your proposal.

This summary helps you read. The full text below is what applies.

01About these terms

These terms are between Webtec International AB (“Webtec”, “we”), corporate identity number 559384-3930, Drottninggatan 71C, 111 36 Stockholm, Sweden, and the business that buys our services (“you”, “the client”). They apply to every proposal, order form, statement of work or email that we accept, together called the “Agreement”.

Our services are for businesses and organizations, not for consumers. If you sign for a company, you confirm that you may bind it.

If your proposal and these terms conflict, the proposal wins for that point. If a separate master agreement signed by both of us exists, it wins over these terms.

02The services

We provide digital growth services. Depending on the proposal, that can include SEO, answer engine and generative engine optimization (AEO and GEO), conversion rate optimization, website redesign and development, e-commerce, paid ads, branding, copywriting and a Growth Manager. Each service is described in the proposal or on our services pages.

The proposal states what is included, what is not, the timeline and the price. A change to scope needs both sides to agree in writing, and may change the price or the date.

Every account has a named project manager. We use our own staff and may use vetted subcontractors. We remain responsible for their work.

03No guarantee of results

We use well-founded methods and we measure and report honestly. We cannot promise a ranking, a number of visitors, leads, sales, an AI assistant mentioning you, or any other result. These depend on search engines, AI providers, competitors, your offer and your market, none of which we control.

For SEO and AEO we recommend a minimum of six months because the work compounds slowly. Six months is a recommendation, not a requirement and not a promise. SEO is billed monthly and comes with one report each month.

04What we need from you

Good work needs good access and quick answers. You agree to:

  • Give us the access, accounts, brand material and information we reasonably ask for, in time.
  • Name one person who can decide and approve on your behalf.
  • Review and approve work within the time in the proposal. If you do not respond, dates move, and delays can affect the price.
  • Make sure that what you give us (text, images, data, logos) is yours to use, and does not infringe anyone’s rights.
  • Keep your accounts secure, and tell us quickly if you see anything unusual.

You stay responsible for your business claims, prices, legal notices and the laws that apply to your industry, for example rules for health, finance, legal or other regulated advertising. We will flag risks we notice, but we are not your lawyer.

05Fees and payment

Prices, currency, billing dates and payment terms are in the proposal. Unless it says otherwise: fees exclude VAT and other taxes, which we add where required; invoices are due as stated on the invoice; and monthly services are invoiced monthly in advance.

Late payment carries interest as set by the Swedish Interest Act (räntelagen), and we may pause work on overdue accounts after notice. Third-party costs, such as ad spend, stock images, plugins, licenses and hosting, are not included unless the proposal says so. Ad spend is paid by you directly to the ad platform, or is billed to you at cost with our fee shown separately.

06Who owns what

When you have paid for a deliverable in full, you own the rights in it. That covers the copy, designs and custom code we created for you. Until then, you may use it only as the proposal allows.

We keep ownership of our own tools, templates, frameworks, processes, general know-how and anything we created before or outside your project, and we give you a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to use these where they form part of a deliverable. Open-source and third-party material stays under its own license, and you must follow it.

We may mention that we worked for you, and show non-confidential work in our portfolio, unless you tell us not to. We never publish your confidential data or results without your written approval.

07Confidentiality and data

Each side keeps the other’s non-public business information confidential and uses it only for the Agreement. This does not apply to information that is public, already known, or that the law requires us to disclose.

Where we process your customers’ personal data for you, we act as your processor under a data processing agreement that we will sign on request. How we handle our own website visitors’ data is in our privacy policy.

08Our commitment, and its limits

We will provide the services with reasonable skill and care, and fix a deliverable that does not match the proposal if you tell us within 30 days of delivery. That is your remedy for defective work.

We provide the services otherwise “as is”. We do not promise that a site will be free of every error, or that third-party platforms, plugins or AI systems will keep working the same way.

09Limits on liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, for example for intent or gross negligence.

Beyond that, we are not liable for lost profit, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you under an Agreement is limited to the fees you paid for the service that caused the claim in the 12 months before the event.

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages at hosting, search, advertising or AI providers, changes in their rules or algorithms, and force majeure.

10Term and ending the agreement

Project work ends when the work is delivered and approved. Monthly services run until one side ends them by written notice, with the notice period in the proposal. If the proposal gives none, the notice period is 30 days, effective at the end of a billing month.

Either side may end the Agreement immediately by written notice if the other commits a serious breach and does not fix it within 14 days of being told, or becomes insolvent.

When it ends: you pay for work done and costs committed up to the end date; we give you the deliverables you have paid for, and access to the accounts we set up in your name; and clauses on ownership, confidentiality, liability and law continue to apply.

11General

The Agreement is the whole deal on its subject and replaces earlier talks. Changes must be in writing. If one part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Neither side may transfer the Agreement without the other’s consent, except to a successor of the whole business.

We may update these terms. The version in force on the date of your proposal applies to that Agreement, and a new version applies to later proposals.

12Governing law and disputes

Swedish law governs the Agreement, without its conflict-of-law rules. We will try to settle any dispute by talking first. If that fails, the courts of Sweden decide it, with the Stockholm District Court (Stockholms tingsrätt) as the first instance.
