RATINGS BY PLATFORM
Every rating, with the one-stars left in.
Four review platforms and one for the team. We show the spread, not just the average, because the average hides the people who had a bad time.

THE HARD REVIEWS
Some clients had a bad time. Here is what they said.
Not every project goes well, and we would rather you heard that from us. These are the harshest reviews we have, summarised fairly, with what we said at the time and what we do differently now.

What they said
The new site felt like a copy of the old one with errors left in, replies slowed after launch, extra fees came with delays, the project passed $9,000, monthly charges were unclear, and the IT team flagged plugins as a security risk.
What we said
We agreed publicly that a rebuild should never ship as a copy of the old site with errors left in, and offered to go through the billing with the owner.
What we do differently
Every rebuild is checked by a second person before you see it and approved by you before launch, plugins are reviewed before go-live, and invoices say what each charge is for.

What they said
The site looked like a template, replies stopped, and the card kept being charged after the 12-month plan.
What we said
We acknowledged it was hard to cancel, offered to review the billing history and to stop any charge made in error.
What we do differently
Term, renewal and how to exit are written in your proposal before you sign, and ending a plan is a conversation with a named person, not a form.

What they said
Conversion did not improve despite the cost, the team seemed new to Shopify, and the people on the project kept changing.
What we said
We said our team should not have been learning Shopify on a client’s project, and offered to review the account and discuss further work at no cost.
What we do differently
We match your project to a specialist who has done it before, and tell you plainly when something is outside our strengths.

What they said
An unapproved version went live with the wrong phone number, the project took about 14 months, and the SEO work was not visible.
What we said
We called it a process failure on our side, accepted that the timeline was too long, and asked to verify the SEO scope.
What we do differently
Changes are listed and approved before launch, the timeline is written into your plan, and your monthly report shows the SEO work done.

What they said
The site took six months of a one-year plan, the developer went on leave without the client being told for a month, and charges continued after concerns were raised.
What we said
Staffing gaps and slow replies are exactly what a client should never find out about late.
What we do differently
If the person on your project changes, you hear it from us the same week, and your Project Manager covers any gap.

What they said
A strong sales pitch full of the right words (storytelling, funnels, A/B tests), then work that felt outsourced, with dated graphics. Their advice: do your homework before paying an agency this much.
What we said
Our CEO, Pontus, replied that the team is a full-time, in-house team working remotely, not freelancers from Fiverr or Upwork, and offered to personally put right anything that missed the standard, at no cost.
What we do differently
You see a free design for your site before you commit, so you judge the quality first, and every project is planned and delivered by our own team.

What they said
After they left us, two independent specialists found 91 plugins, broken redirects, a dead link, duplicate mobile navigation and edits that did not show on the live site. Fixing it took about 40 to 45 hours.
What we said
We agreed these are specific, checkable problems that should not have been there at handover, asked to review the specialists’ findings with our senior technical team, and offered to discuss covering the cost of the fixes.
What we do differently
Before handover a second person checks redirects, mobile navigation and that edits publish to the live site, and plugins are reviewed so the site runs only what it needs.

What they said
Three project managers, months before real work started, and a result that was largely a copy of the existing site. Charges kept coming for services the client had turned down.
What we said
We said three project managers and months of waiting is not acceptable, that a near-copy is not a new build, and that charging for declined services is a billing error to correct immediately.
What we do differently
If the person on your project changes, you hear it from us the same week, and every invoice says what it is for, so a charge you did not agree to is easy to spot, and we correct it.

WHAT AI SAYS ABOUT US
Asked an assistant about Webtec? Here is what is true.
AI summaries pull from reviews and forums. They are right about a lot, and we would rather answer the fair points than argue with them.
A typical AI summary says
“Reviews are mixed: a sharp divide between positive client testimonials and serious complaints about billing and communication.”
That is a fair reading of what is public. Most clients are very happy, and a minority were not. The table shows each point and where we stand.
The 6 points, checked

Paraphrased from AI answers to “is Webtec legit?”
- TrueA high rating on Google: 5.0.Google shows 5.0 from 191 reviews (checked 24 October 2026).
- TruePraise for clear communication and clean design. It is the most repeated theme in the reviews above, and Trustpilot shows 80% five-star.
- FairUnresolved issues and less contact once a project is marked complete. Some clients told us this, and we agree it is not good enough. Your Growth Manager and Project Manager stay with you after launch.
- FairGeneric or template-looking sites, such as basic Shopify builds.A small number of clients felt this. We now show a free website design before you commit, so you can judge the quality first.
- FairConfusing cancellation and card charges past the agreement. This is the most serious complaint, and we take it that way. Term and exit are written in your proposal, and any charge you think is wrong, we will check with you.
- AnsweredThe owner hides behind a privacy service.Webtec is headquartered at Drottninggatan 71C, 111 36 Stockholm, Sweden, and the team is named on our team page.
Our promise
If you are not satisfied, tell us. We will fix it, or find the fairest way forward together.
- You speak to a named person, not a ticket queue.
- We look at the facts with you: the plan, the invoices, the work.
- If we cannot agree, someone from leadership sits down with you and we find the fairest way forward, with mediation if that helps.
- We answer reviews publicly, good or bad.
QUESTIONS
About our reviews, answered straight.
01Are all the reviews on this page real?
Yes. They come from Google, Trustpilot, DesignRush and Bark, and each card links to the platform it came from. Short excerpts are marked. We do not write, edit or buy reviews.
02Why show negative reviews on your own site?
Because you will find them anyway, and because they are fair feedback. Showing them with what we said and what we changed is more useful to you than a page of five stars.
03What is your overall rating?
Google shows 5.0 from 191 reviews. Trustpilot shows 4.3 from 79. DesignRush shows 4.9 from 50 and Bark 5.0 from over 130. The numbers differ because the platforms and the people who review on them differ, so we show all of them.
04What happens if I am not satisfied?
Tell your Growth Manager or Project Manager, or email us directly. We will fix what is wrong, and if we cannot agree, we will sit down with you, with someone from leadership, and find the fairest way forward. We would rather hear it early.
05AI tools say your reviews are mixed. Is that right?
Partly, and we say so above. Most clients are very happy and a minority have had a poor experience, mostly about delays, communication after launch and billing. Those are the three things we have worked hardest to fix.
06How do I cancel or end a plan?
The term and how to exit are written into your proposal before you sign. To end a plan, speak to your Growth Manager or email us, and you will deal with a named person.
07Do you build template sites?
We start from research on your market and design for your goals. We also show you a free website design before you commit, so you can judge the quality first.
08Who is behind Webtec?
Webtec is a digital growth agency headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, with one team working remotely across the globe. Our address is Drottninggatan 71C, 111 36 Stockholm.
09Can I talk to a current client?
Yes. Ask for references that match your industry on the call, or read the case studies and projects, where every number comes from the client’s own data.
10How do I leave a review?
Use the buttons at the bottom of this page for Google, Trustpilot or DesignRush. Good or bad, we read every one and reply publicly.
Worked with us? Tell people the truth.
Good or bad, we read every review and reply in public.
