GLOSSARY

What is CTA?

DEFINITION

A call to action is the prompt that tells a visitor what to do next, usually a button or link such as Book a call, Get a quote or Download the guide. A good one is specific about what happens after the click, stands out visually, and appears where the visitor is ready to act.

A page with too many competing actions leaves people unsure what to choose. Vague wording such as Submit gives no reason to click. Tracking clicks on your main calls to action shows which pages actually move people forward. Why it matters: A clear next step is what turns reading into enquiries.
