GLOSSARY

What is crawl budget?

DEFINITION

Crawl budget is the set of URLs a search engine can and wants to crawl on your site. It depends on your server's capacity and the engine's demand for your pages.

Google says it matters mainly for sites with about a million pages that change weekly, or about ten thousand that change daily. Most small business sites should focus on links, duplicates and quality instead.
