GLOSSARY

What is copywriting?

DEFINITION

Copywriting is writing whose job is to move a reader toward a specific action, such as calling, buying or booking. It differs from content writing, which mainly informs.

On a website, copy covers headlines, page text, buttons, form labels and emails. It is judged by what readers do next, and it should be clear, specific and supported by evidence.
