GLOSSARY

What is store conversion rate? (e-commerce conversion rate)

DEFINITION

Store conversion rate is the share of store sessions that end in a completed order. It is calculated as orders divided by sessions.

Shopify’s worked example is 20 orders from 1,000 visits, a 2% rate. Split it by device, traffic source and new versus returning visitors, because a blended figure hides the differences.
